There are 2 services you'll need for a functioning site - a domain and a website hosting plan for it. If you type the Internet domain in your Internet browser, you see the content that is uploaded in the web hosting account, but if that Internet domain isn't linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it is parked. Put simply, the domain name is registered and you're its owner, but it lacks content of its own. Rather, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” Internet page from the registrar company, or it can be directed to some other URL of your choice. The main benefit of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and make certain that no one else is going to take it. Meanwhile, it's not going to occupy a slot for a hosted domain address within your account. You may also park domains if you have a .com, for example, and you register domain names with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to direct them to the main web site in order to protect a brand name.
Parked Domains in Hosting
When you get a hosting plan from us, you will be able to register as many domain names as you want and park them with a few mouse clicks using your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Using our feature-rich Domain Manager tool, you can pick from various templates and add your own text to each of them. If you'd like to forward a domain, all it takes is to type the URL, save it, and you will be all set. You'll be able to un-park a domain name and host it in your account just as easily and our system is going to do all the needed changes - update the domain address servers, set up DNS records for it, set up a domain folder in the File Manager section of your account, etc. If you have a large number of domains registered through our company, you’ll be able to use a filter to see just the parked or just the hosted ones for easier management. Taking into consideration that you can park a domain address only with the registrar company, you can employ this feature only for domains that are registered through us, but not through another provider.
Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Hosting
With each and every semi-dedicated server we provide you will have the opportunity to park as many domains that are registered with us as you would like. Given that only the registrar company can offer a parking function, you can not park domains that are only hosted on our state-of-the-art cloud hosting platform. Through the Domain Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel you are going to be able to park and un-park domains with as little as a couple of clicks and filter all domains that you have by their status, for simpler control. We offer a number of different templates you can use and if you prefer, you may also add some custom text to each of them. If you decide to un-park a domain and host it within your account, you'll not need to do anything manually - our system is going to create a domain folder in the File Manager section and will create all of the required DNS records so that your domain address functions properly and starts loading the content which you upload for it on our servers.
